Review Summary:

This is one shopping tool you won’t want to leave the house without. I highly recommend that you get it not only for the holidays, but so that you can be a smart consumer all year round.

We all know that time flies. Especially during the holiday season, and with time dwindling down having a way to find the best prices and availability of the items on your shopping list is key. As an avid online shopper I like to compare and review items before I dive in and make a purchase. However shopping from a computer is convenient and makes effective shopping easy. All the information you could ever need is at your fingertips without any pressure, but it’s not always that easy. Or is it? RedLaser can help you with that.

When you are out and about shopping fighting through the crowds can be hectic. It can be a hassle to type and search every item you’re interested in into your mobile device. But you are in luck there is a simple solution! Wait for it….. barcode apps! Barcode apps scan the item in question and searches Google for information. This saves you time and makes finding the best deals seem like child’s play. Essentially it puts all the facts in front of you so that you can make an informed and smart decision before making a purchase. I would suggest Red Laser, by Ebay Mobile.

The Red Laser app allows you to scan a barcode from a single item or you can easily change to multiple items with just a simple tap. With each scan it gives you an overview of online prices through Google search results, local prices in retail stores (if applicable), related suggestions, details about the item, and reviews. So not only do you get to find the best prices but you can find out if it’s worth your money at all. It’s every sensible shopper’s dream.

Another reason I prefer this app over others is because it helps you stay organized with your shopping, because we can all get a little scatterbrained during the holidays. It does this by providing a dated history section for those times you need to go back and look at something you scanned a few days before. Also there’s a “lists” tab that allows you to create shopping lists and group your items appropriately for easy reference. In addition to all of this, included are top deals from major, local and online retailers.

This is one shopping tool you won’t want to leave the house without. I highly recommend that you get it not only for the holidays, but so that you can be a smart consumer all year round. It’s free to download in the iTunes App Store, Android Play Market, and Windows Phone Marketplace.
