Review Summary:

The Logitech Anywhere MX is by far the best laptop friendly mouse I’ve used.

Logitech Anywhere MX

The Logitech Anywhere MX has been around for awhile now but its still one of the best portable mouses out there.

Look and Feel

As for the aesthetics of the mouse its flat black with flat gun metal gray and a perforated black rubber that feels lovely in your hand, it has a metal piece down the front center around the scroll wheel which makes the mouse look classy. The overall feel of the mouse is good, and it does not feel cheap in any way. The Anywhere MX is small, but it works well with larger hands even when using it for 8 hours.

The Buttons

The mouse has a total of 7 buttons. Left click, Right click, Center click, Scroll Left, Scroll Right, Change Windows Button, Forward and Back Buttons, and lets not forget the stunning scroll wheel. When looking at the bottom of the mouse there are large mouse skates the battery cover and the sensor housing that is also the on off switch. Just slide the cover open to turn it on, and slide it closed to turn it off. The cover also helps keep all the dust out of the sensor. There’s also a light on the top of the mouse to indicate battery life when the cover is first open. When your batteries start to get low the light turns red; the driver will also display when to replace the batteries directly within windows. The unit is self runs on two AA batteries. Inside the battery compartment is a place for the micro USB Unifying Receiver. The Unifying Receiver supports most of Logitech’s new mouse models. The mouse comes with a small leather pouch for storage when on the go.

Other Features

Darkfield is by far the best feature of this mouse, its the laser sensor that Logitech has developed for their mouses it makes the mouse tracking mechanism work on any surface. The mouse will work on solid glass surfaces and even on a mirror. It will even work right on your screen, shirt, pants, leg, skin. The Darkfield feature makes this mouse my favorite mouse for travel.

The scroll wheel has two different modes and changes with just a click of the center button. With one click its rigid with a bump to indicate each scroll, one click down and now its smooth as butter bringing infinite scrolling making the wheel spin freely like a weighted bearing. It also has a left and right scroll with just a push to either side.

The Logitech Anywhere MX is by far the best laptop friendly mouse I’ve used, its small, compact and highly efficient on the batteries. The Anywhere MX has some of the nicest features of any portable mouse I’ve used. Therefore, I give it a 4.5 out of 5 I highly recommend this to anyone who owns a laptop.
